Got my results this morning, were surprisingly better than expected...so YAY!!!!!!
Mum's not happy (but she never is...), Dad said first class???? I said aha, he said YAY!!!, so now mum's pissed with both of us lol...
To celebrate...(not really)
We went off to Souk Salmiya, shopped a bit and then went Bowling with dad's friend HAM....it was a great place the COSMO Center, all the shoes Fit right... alley lanes lit up when it was your turn to bowl.....you could alter the comp to fit in with your specific handicap, me not being a pro had only handicaps hehehehehehe
Very High tech and very very cool, have pics will show :) Mum won with a 102 points...I was a close second with 101, Ham got 99, and papa, who BTW is hopeless at bowling managed a 76 :)
Thereafter was a big discussion on where to go to dinner......Dad wanted to go to buffaloes...nice lively informal, Mum wanted Rumours, coz of the multi-cuisine but Ham specified he wanted a light dinner....so we headed to Prego's for Italian food, not that Lasagna is light but...well NO ONE LISTENS TO ME!!!!!!
Dinner was really nice...though me being a pucca Indian Had to request for some hot sauce as I found the food a tad bland......no one had space for dessert...though we made big plans for Star Bucks or Baskin Robbins, which is quite good in Kuwait.......but alas the fear of not getting parking drove us all home:)
But the night is still young and my parents have turned into creatures of the night,
refusing to retire to bed...have gathered a few friends and are busy playing carom. AT ONE AM!!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh its days like this that keep the blog going :)

highlights of the week
Lots been happening.......
club club club....new friends Liza and Deana........swim aerobics:).........and melting moments in the Sauna
Johnny English..........with nachos.....creamy corn and cola to go with it.........almost fell off my seat during the grave yard scene
U.S Military Men.....8 of them to be precise.........
and dinners loads of dinners.............saussage stuffed crust pizza......smiley fries......grilled chickens........t-bone steaks.......lebanese cherries.......and deserts to die for......

Have made friends at the club..........Mayada, Roula and Jasmin...................we workout together, sigh together, giggle in the jacuzzi together and basically enjoy ourselves.I like the club but I can't help feeling a tad out of place being the only brown face besides the maids.........hehehe.........ok so I'm not that brown, but still...........
Have not encountered Racism yet............but I dunno what I'd do if I did, I really wouldn't know how to handle it effectively................
Its hard enough having people say to me, "why don't you find a nice catholic boy". Have grown up in a mixed up world, where creed, caste, color and for that matter even gender were not the basis of distinction............never saw myself as less than.....or greater than.....perhaps money was the only basis of inequality I percieved.........
As I was saying to someone today........this is why i love the night, an equaliser, unlike the sun shine that exposes all our differences, night covers us all in darkness....... its hard to tell brown from black in the dark...........

First Day At Al Mabrouk health Club, WOW Its Just WOW..............I love it!!!!! I love it!!!!!!! I haven't seen gym equipment like this ever!!!
I signed in at 9:30 and left at 12:30!!!!! 3 hours of working my ass off.............or should I say working all the pizza/chocolate milk/ice cream/ Dorritos/ goodness knows what else into my tummy which has suddenly decided to turn its self into a bottomless pit....garbage dump or similar abyss like structure....................
HMMMPH

NOTE TO SELF : am not as fat as I thought I was, but I will be if tummy is not brought under controll

The weekend in kuwait is thursday friday, not sat-sun like the rest of the world. This however is a long weekend...Saturday being a Public holiday. The weekends are filled with buzzing activity, loads of rowdy boys spill out onto the streets at the waterfronts and in the malls, a whole lot of chaos and too many accidents. Which is why nature often takes matters in her own hands and has an uncanny way of sending sandstorms in, only on weekends, mostly they lift within a day.....but contrary to expectations, as I went out this morning, it was a repeat of the previous day, sand sand everywhere, Dad's car which was washed clean and shiny yesterday, was back to its sand covered state...and everyone arround is cussing about the long weekend ruined by the weather conditions. Dad who could do without a bunch of boy's following daughter dearest seems to be the only one happy to be indoors :)

NOTE TO SELF: Never leave swimsuit at home

A day ago, after our walk at the water front, we went to finish the formalities at the Health Club....when we got out of there I was stunned the quiet breeze that had been blowing at the waterfront had whipped itself up into a full blown Sandstorm. Sand swirrled in thick clouds and covered everything. When I got out in morning the sandy swirls had lessened but the air hung thick with sand, though visibility had improved......and Dad's shiny car!!! it was covered with a blanket of sand an inch thick, as I opened the passenger door, i got sand all over my trousers.....T'was pretty cool :)

"Now please smile be polite and don't be a snob" she instructed taking one last look in the rear view mirror before she slammed the door shut............I followed my mood already ruined, trying rather unsuccessfully to tune out her voice as she continued instructing me on how to behave..........The place was lovely built like a mansion.....very tastefully done up, I couldn't help cheering up, was in total awe of all the splendour when we got to our destination........She came up to us....exchanged pleasanteries....my parents chatted away.......I said a required word or two.....observing mostly.........we left quickly........but I'd already reached my verdict I LOVED HER!!!!!!

Hi all............from the State Of Kuwait............Well So far I've been having a great time..............Kuwait is lovely the weather is hot but we don't really feel it and all the flowers are out its pretty pretty pretty all over with splashes of color accross the green lawns..........and ahhhhhhhhhh the water front is just Gorgeous........when I walk there or just sit and watch the sun set despite all all of the chaos in the world I'm reminded of this line from Dicken's-----------> "God's in His heaven and all's right with the world"
perhaps just for that moment in time in that space...........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh look at me getting all soppy an all...........

INSOMNIA

OOO i had typed this real long post about how luv buying stuff at signals..........from water to a wannabe barbie doll called "Babie".............yeah well BSES died on me back then so......... no one gets to know my views on stuff that is sold at signals and why I don't care about encouraging this form of trade........................

Sunday and more fun followed................big family luncheon, what with 8 women 2 dad's 4 kids 2 maids...........hehehheheehhe
I don't know why so many people hate to hang out with family................I love hanging out with this bunch of my family........we can really crack eachother up.........post lunch after cake and ice cream........and after eachone had poured over the party albumn AGAIN!!!...........commenting on very aspect of my appearance.........began the chat session with gossip inputs comming in from all over.........and be being called upon for relationship advice repeatedly..........ah I love my family..............(sometimes)
tea and then off for shopping..........clothes shoes scarfs..........Mc Donalds..........ice cream...........finally home for much needed sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep...............

And the fun continues....................had a wonderful time with my girls............wine ing and dine ing..............and shopping and watching my VCD..........I have now seen that thing 4 times!!!
lol........ah............I do love my friends........
Di brought out the Tarrot cards and I did a number of spreads..........5 card dosh spread.......6 card love spread........8 card long term career spread........ nice.............
I'm gonna miss them...........hai one whole month away...............

OMG had the most fun at Nissie's place...............a bunch of us had gathered to watch The VCD and just chill and hangout............and I laughed soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much my side hurt....and after a few others had left the rest of us all piled into Nis' car and headed for Bandra
lol after quite a wild ride and I mean WILD!!! we ended up at JATC........where more madness followed.......thereafter to Shruti's lovely apartment.......for some r n r then another wild ride home................:)
An over dose of fun.............can anyone have too much fun??? hmmmmmmmm I wonder..............coz I have major plans tonight..........:)
